Dear Amira, Brad here. Thanks for writing in with a hip question. And an easy one for me. Here goes...In 2007 I was working at London's Science Museum with a group of crazy dudes called Punk Science. Awesome job.
One afternoon my boss said that Buckingham palace had called and asked if we could perform a science show, for a science celebration they were having. Yeah right, I said. But they were serious!!! Excitedly, We toured the palace, met all the security, even drove in the main gates In front of hundreds on onlookers. That day, We performed three shows to over 1000 young people, in this amazing ball room and had an awesome time. It was incredible and I will never forget it.
Afterwards, there was a party, and The Queen was there. I had a sticker on my name badge, and someone said that means that THE Queen would like a word with you. Yeah right, I said. But up she walks and we all had a little chat, and she thanked us for inspiring young people about science.
When I go home to America, cheeky people always ask if I've met the Queen. And I say, yes ... Yes I have. I'm sure they are thinking ...yeah right. But I'm thinking... Yeah... RIGHT. It's the truth. You take care, and thank you for writing into Blast Science. Science is the future, get busy.
