Kitchen Science Party
Do you have a budding scientist who'd like a Science Party brought to their kitchen table to amaze and delight up to 10 of their friends? Featuring a range of our best experiments - lemonade potions, edible blood, polymer slime, flaming metal, potions, exploding rockets and more. Kids will be entertained, educated and enthralled by our range of messy, fun experiments, all based mostly on what you could find in an average kitchen. The price includes a party bag for each child containing items made during the party.
Max 10 kids. £175 Brighton area, £225 in rest of Sussex.
Extra info
- We bring all materials needed and no mess will be left. However we do recommend using a non-carpeted room where possible.
- We expect one adult to be present throughout the party (we are not there for childcare but to educate & entertain!)
- We require a table and enough chairs for the children. We also sometimes serve the lemonade potions in a different space - but can bring an additional table if necessary. We are happy to be flexible with space and work with your setup!
- We need access to a sink, a kettle and a plug socket.
- We need 1 hour to set up and 1 hour to clear (so the same table will not be available for party food - please bear this in mind!)
- Some experiments use food colour and dairy products. Please advise of any allergies in advance.
- Some experiments use fire - check no issue with smoke alarms!
*We may charge more for petrol if a party is outside the Brighton/Hastings area (as this is where our presenters are based!)
Recent quotes: 'My son wanted a science party for his 7th Birthday Party, and having done a bit of research I stumbled across Blast Science on Kallikids. The reviews seemed too good to be true! Lydia was super helpful in helping us decide what type of party to go for, and in the end we opted for a Kitchen Science Party, which was a bit of everything. It was truly brilliant! 10 kids (aged 5 to 9, but mostly 6/7 yr old boys) were thoroughly engaged and entertained for an hour and I didn't have to do a thing! They all had different favourite bits, which was great, and were also able to take the results of some of their experiments home in their party bag. So... believe the reviews... Blast Science parties rock!!' Lucy, Mum of 3
'The best birthday party I've ever had' - Reuben age 9.
'I had a Blast Kitchen Science Party in my home for 10 nine-year-old boys. And what a brilliant thing it was. Truly original and my son couldn't believe how much fun it was. He said it was the best birthday party he'd ever had because it had explosions and fire. And then there was a light sabre war. Just incredible. And best bit for me? I only had to produce a couple of pizzas and a cake and the rest of it was taken care of. I didn't even walk in the house until 2 minutes before having handed over my keys earlier in the day. Highly recommend this!'
Belinda, mum of two boys, 9 and 11
'My eldest daughter is really into the Worst Witch so I contacted Blast Science and asked if they could do something witchy for her birthday party, but for a very small group. The answer was a resounding 'yes'. There were only 8 children at the party so they all got to make their own potions (and drink them), make things fizz and bang and pop and change colour. Lydia was brilliant and arrived in full witch gear, with a really cool smoking cauldron and a bag full of hats and cloaks for the party girls to wear, and made them all call her Miss Cackle throughout which they thought was hilarious. She was great with some of the more nervous children, explaining exactly what she was doing, what ingredients she was using and reassuring them that they weren't actually going to end up invisible. The highlight of the party for the 8 little witches was definitely the flying Cornish Pixies, but I'm not going to spoil the magic - if you want to know how it's done, you'll have to ask Blast Science! A brilliant party - I'd book them again in the shake of a wand... ' Carol, mum of two, Brighton.
